Mark Snyder (1925-1992) remains a revered figure not just in the annals of JM Construction but also in the hearts of all who knew him. Renowned as “The Builder of the Pacific Palisades,” Mark’s legacy as an expert craftsman extends well beyond the structures he built. His commitment to community and education is epitomized by the Mark Snyder Scholarship Fund at Pacific Palisades High School, which annually supports students in their educational journey to Washington, D.C.
A dedicated Rotarian for life, Mark’s involvement in the Palisades Presbyterian Church as an Elder further showcased his deep-rooted community spirit. His life was a tapestry of faith, family, and craftsmanship, values that continue to influence JM Construction’s ethosMission and Values.
The foundations of what would evolve into JM Construction were sown by Mark’s father, initiating a lineage of construction excellence that Mark not only perpetuated but also greatly amplified through his own endeavors. This legacy of craftsmanship and business acumen in Pacific Palisades was further carried forward by Jim Marshall and continues with his grandson, Mark Marshall. Their collective efforts have solidified the company’s standing for excellence, integrity, and deep-rooted community engagement.
