Mark’s journey in the construction industry began at the age of 12 when he joined his father, Jim, in the family construction business. Starting at the bottom, Mark initially worked on the demolition and cleanup crew, gaining firsthand experience in the realities of construction. By 14, he had moved up to a laborer/apprentice position on the framing crew, and at 16, he transitioned into the finish carpentry division, honing his skills over two years. During his teenage years, Mark lent his labor to Barron Electric and Cal-Mech Heating and Air, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the trade.
As Mark approached college age, he began working for Cal-Mac Plumbing, his father’s primary plumbing subcontractor.
